The theme park Italia in Miniatura is located in Viserba di Rimini and is a real national institution. Created in 1970 it boasts over 500,000 visitors a year, 270 scale reproductions of the most important architectural works in the country, 30 miniatures dedicated to the most famous European monuments and many attractions for fun with families and friends.
Moreover, the tailored attractions include the Scuola Guida Interattiva (Interactive Driving School), for children from 6 to 12 years to learn the rudiments of driving and get a mini-license, the Cannonacqua (Water Cannon) for last drop fights in a majestic medieval scene, and the panoramic Monorotaia (Monorail) for admiring the park in all its beauty. There is also a 1:5 scale reproduction of Venice, to be visited by gondola, and Piazza Italia, a space where games and jokes rule the roost.
If you are an adrenaline junkie, you should not miss the Sling Shot, a sling that shoots you to a height of 55 meters in 1.8 seconds, exciting rides in the Canoes through rapids and water splashes, the Super Racing, a Formula1 simulator to test your driving skills, the Cinemagic 7D, an experience that plunges you into a spectacular and exciting reality never seen before, and the Adventure Area, with trials hanging on top of trees to have fun on lianas, Tibetan bridges and breathtaking rides.
The most curious visitors must discover the Prova e Esplora section (Explore and Experience). From the Luna Park della Scienza (Science Funfair), for discovering the secrets of physics and chemistry while having fun, to the Pappamondo (Globe), a tropical island inhabited by parrots, for learning how to relate with these cute little birds.
Italia in Miniatura also offers many alternatives for the little ones. The Play Mart, a maze where to go wild with colored balls, slides and games, the Giostra di Cavalli (Pony Merry-Go-Round), a journey to discover the story of Pinocchio, the Torre Panoramica (Panoramic Tower) on board cheerful colored balloons, the Scherzi Bagnati (Wet Jokes), small fountains and playful jets refreshing on hot summer days, and the Modellini telecomandati (Remote control games), miniature cars and motorboats to be driven with families and friends.
The park is open all year round, all summer days and it has special openings in the remaining periods of the year. Do not miss the opening on Halloween and All Saints’ long weekend, with a fun theme party involving children in parades and thrilling games.
From 19 to 23 March it opens from 9:30 to 16:30.
16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31 March; 6, 7, 13, April 14 and from April 20 until September 22 and on September 20, 29 and every weekend in October the park opens from 9:30 to 18:30
On the Halloween bridge from October 31st to November 3rd open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Every Sunday in November and December and from 26 December to 6 January opens from 9:30 to 16:30.
