The Aviation Theme Park is located on the hills above Rimini, at the border with the Republic of San Marino. Inaugurated in 1995 it is considered among the most important in the sector both at national and international level. On a ground of over 100,000 sqm exposes more than 50 aircraft belonging to the Italian and world history, important relics of the universe of military aviation, photos, testimonies, videos, medals and models that will surely excite aviation fans.
The Park is open throughout the year and it is divided into various thematic areas. In addition to the outdoor expo there is a pavilion that traces the history of the national aviation showing uniforms, flying suits, air planes, helicopters, armaments, engines, cabins, photos, decorations and medals awarded by personalities like Mussolini and D'Annunzio, models of aircraft on a reduced scale and very rare footages of the time. Everything original and often present with pieces that are unique in the world.
Inside the park there is also the Aeromodeling Museum that exposes the winning models for special awards and periodically organizes events dedicated to fans, meeting days and various races. The Park also houses the largest collection of studies on the Battle of Rimini inside of the Study Centre on the Yellow Line.
It is interesting to note that the majority of the restorations and donations have been made by fans and lovers of the sector part of the Cultural Association "On the wings of History" promoted by the Park itself.
Among the services inside the park we find: an air-shop with gadgets, a bar, a comfortable dining area and an area for children. The structure is accessible for people with disabilities. We organize guided tours and dogs are allowed.
